The Captree Boat Basin houses recreational fishing boats, charters, and excursion boats which offer sightseeing, fishing in the Great South Bay, and deep sea fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. There is a snack bar, rest rooms, and parking.

Try your luck with striped bass, bluefish, or fluke in the bay, or tuna, swordfish and marlin in the ocean. Take a sunset cruise along the bay, or charter a party boat. Captree Island is North and West of Fire Island, and easy to reach by car via the Robert Moses Bridge.
